In addition to basking in the warm glow of down-home Texas friendliness, meeting tons of folk that you’re bound to have a lot in common with, and the chance to just let yourself go and have fun in a good-old-fashioned Texas sort of way, your Texas State Society (TSS) annual membership dues entitle you to a wide range of privileges and benefits.  These include:

TSS events are organized from ideas and thoughts gleaned from our Board of Directors and membership.  The TSS tries to offer something for everyone, and events are designed to appeal to all age groups throughout the year.  Dues-paying members of the TSS receive invitations to all major events and functions.

 Volunteer Opportunities

There is a wide variety of events organized by the TSS.  Each and everyone needs assistance and volunteer workers.  Getting involved gives you not only the opportunity to meet other Texans living and working in Washington, DC but the opportunity to work more closely with the TSS Board of Directors.  This is one of the places that the TSS Nominating Committee looks for new officers and Board members.  For more information, contact us via e-mail or the TSS Hotline.

Annual Subscription to The Lone Star Link

The TSS quarterly newsletter outlines various upcoming opportunities, reports on previous events, and provides a forum for news about Texans in Washington.  For those who hanker for a bit of the homeland, The Lone Star Link often includes information on events happening in Texas and advertisements from Texas-oriented companies in the area.  For more information, please contact Janet Eissenstat.

TSS Membership Directory

Published biennially, this useful Directory contains our current list of the TSS membership in addition to the Society Constitution, By‑laws and historical information.

The Texas State Society Hotline

The TSS Hotline is updated to report the upcoming events.  You can also request information about Society matters and membership.  The Hotline number is (301) 809-8989.

TSS Membership operates on a calendar year basis (January - December).  Annual Dues are $20 for an individual membership and $30 for a family membership.  Again, the membership form can be printed on your printer and mailed with your check to:
