2001 Annual Meeting and Congressional Reception

The Annual Meeting will be from 6:00-6:30 in 121 Cannon House Office Building and the Congressional Reception will be in the Cannon Caucus Room from 6:30-8:00.


It is time once again for a Lone Star Salute to Congress, the annual Congressional Reception hosted by the Texas State Society of Washington, DC.

The Texas State Society's Annual Meeting and Congressional Reception have become a Capitol Hill tradition, attracting more than 1,000 society members who come to socialize with our state's Members of Congress and to enjoy down-home cooking and selected beverages from the Lone Star State.

The Annual Meeting will be from 6:00-6:30 in 121 Cannon House Office Building and the Congressional Reception will be in the Cannon Caucus Room from 6:30-8:00. Capital Q, Bullfeather's of Capitol Hill, Pedro's Tamales, Lone Star and Shiner Bock beers, and margaritas from Jose Cuervo are sure to attract any Texan's appetite!

This event is for 2001 dues paying members only. A limited number of tickets are available, so please ensure that your dues and reply card are returned to the Texas State Society postmarked no later than March 7, 2001.

The U.S. House of Representative rules do not permit payment or renewal at the door.

No admission will be granted without a pre-paid ticket. One guest per ticket.
