Make it easy on yourself, and let TSS do the cooking and the planning on Sunday, June 17th. Come join the annual Father’s Day Picnic festivities with your extended Texas family at The Pavilions of Turkey Run. Located in a tranquil setting in the shadow of Tysons Corner and nestled in the cool Virginia woods, Turkey Run is the perfect place to bring your family and friends to enjoy camaraderie, games and music. Under a canopy of tall trees,
there will be horseshoes, volleyball, and the annual softball tournament as well
as face painting, and Bingo. A
Nine Hole Miniature Golf course is available for the whole family, as well as a
Radar Tee-off machine. And what would the Father’s Day Picnic be without the Dixie Rebels
and a dance contest? There
will be plenty of beer (available with proper id), sodas, lemonade and iced tea to wash down the burgers,
dogs and chicken. Be sure to leave
plenty of room for snow cones! Feel free to stroll up the hill into the past. The Claude Moore Colonial Farm replicates the life of a poor family living on a small farm during the 1770s. Guests are encouraged to participate in planting, cultivating, and tilling the fields to get a “real feel of the times.” |
