Asleep at the Wheel

The Birchmere

Feeling homesick?  Are you yearning for those "Miles and Miles of Texas" blacktops?  Has it been too long since you've been to any "Big Balls in Cowtown?"  If so, Asleep at the Wheel is just what the doctor ordered for what ails you.

Asleep at the Wheel has been tearing up the charts and Texas honky tonks for over 30 years with their red-hot brand of boogie woogie with western swing instrumentation and big band arrangement.  When Ray Benson and his boys play Terlingua Two-Step at the "House of Blue Lights" -  the Birchmere - on Thursday, November 29th, you'll be able to "Dance with Who Brung Ya'" or "Choo Choo Ch'Boogie" with other Texans who are looking to burn up the dance floor.

Asleep at the Wheel offers a little something for everyone.  This grammy award-winning band's play list ranges from Bob Wills classics to songs that you can blast from the speakers of your "Hot Rod Lincoln."  So, if you want to "Get Your Kicks on Route 66," bring your pals or gals to Terlingua Two-Step and "Boogie Back to Texas" with The Wheel and the Texas State Society.
