Texas State Society Membership Terms & Conditions

Please review the following terms and conditions which define your rights, responsibilities and benefits as a user and member of Texas State Society, and the Web site www.texasstatesociety.org.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Welcome to the Texas State Society (TSS), which provides its Membership to you, subject to the following Terms and Conditions, which may be updated by us from time to time without notice to you. You can review the most current version of the Terms and Conditions at any time. In addition, when using particular TSS features or components, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services which may be posted from time to time.

2. REGISTRATION AND SECURITY

As a part of the membership process, you agree to provide Texas State Society true, accurate, current and complete registration information about yourself; and, maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. Any information that your provide, which is found to be untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or TSS has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, TSS has the right to suspend or terminate your Membership and refuse any and all current or future use of the Membership (or any portion thereof) without any liability to you.

TSS is concerned about the safety and privacy of all its users, and considers the security of your and all user accounts to be of utmost importance. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account. You shall notify TSS of any suspected or actual unauthorized use of your password or account, or any other breach of security. You are to ensure logout from your account at the end of each session.

3. PRIVACY POLICY

Your registration information and certain other information about you is subject to our Privacy Policy which is available here. You agree to the terms of our privacy policy.

4. ANNUAL DUES

Dues are stated as $25 for individuals and $40 for families, annually. Dues are reneweable in January of each year regardless of when you may have signed up or renewed your dues in the previous year(s).

5. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS & CONDITIONS

TSS reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Membership (or any part thereof) with or without notice.

6. MEMBERSHIP DISCUSSION BOARD

Texas State Society maintains a membership discussion board system (DBS) where members are welcome to leave posts for other members. By using the DBS, members agree that they will not:

• Advertise, sell to, or solicit others; or use the Forum for commercial purposes of any kind;
• Post or distribute any vulgar, obscene, discourteous or indecent language or images;
• Make any bigoted, hateful or racially offensive statements;
• Abuse, defame, harass or threaten others;
• Post or distribute any software or other materials which contain a virus, worm, or other harmful component;
• Advocate illegal activity or discuss illegal activities with the intent to commit them;
• Post or distribute any material that infringes and/or violates any right of a third party or any law;

7. TERMINATION

You agree that TSS, in its sole discretion, may terminate your password, account (or any part thereof) or use of the Membership, for any reason, including, without limitation, if TSS believes that you have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of the Terms and Conditions. TSS may also, in its sole discretion and at any time, discontinue providing the Membership, or any part thereof, with or without notice.
