the 2016 Reprise will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016. The reception (including an open bar) begins at 2 p.m., with the Reprise at 3 p.m. The program will end by 5 p.m. The Texas State Society has a LIMITED NUMBER OF SEATS to the Reprise, available on our website at $80.00 each. PLEASE RSVP before Friday, February 26. TSS members will have a ball at the show, one of the capital’s signature events. It is a reprise of an occasion that has been held since 1885, regaling an annual white-tie dinner with satire and songs that skewer Presidents and congressional leaders, lobbyists and sacred cows. What you’ll see is Gridiron members — including well-known faces that might include John Dickerson, Al Hunt, Jonathan Karl, John King, Andrea Mitchell, or Judy Woodruff — performing songs and skits in costume. Syndicated columnist Mark Shields relays the highlights of speeches that were delivered the night before, which typically include remarks by the President and a leading Democrat and leading Republican. We hope you will be interested in joining your fellow TSS members!
